Here at the Belle Center Reformed Presbyterian Church, we know of several places associated with folks we like. We think you'll like them and their pages, too. We don't necessarily agree with everything on these links. The only ones we endorse fully are those of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America, its agencies and judicatories, and Reformed Witness below. Onward...
First we want you to see the official site for the RPCNA. It's full of useful stuff like contacts for all RPCNA churches, downloadable .pdf files (including the Westminster Standards and a history of the RPCNA up to 1888), upcoming events, and suchlike. Our denomination has a few other websites. Included are Reformed Voice, a mini-site for RP churches and ministries hosted by SermonAudio, where there are tons of other good audio and other files. Another site is Blue Banner, a theological website dedicated to the memory and the work of Dr. J. G. Vos, longtime Bible Professor at Geneva College. A third is for our publishing house, Crown and Covenant Publications. They put out and distribute lots of Christian education, theological, and worship helps. You can download .mp3 files of some of the Psalms of the Bible set to music.
Our own sermons and Psalm Meditations are here.
Next we'd like you to see the Reformed Witness Page. It's from our Southfield, Michigan, congregation, and for several years it was the closest thing we had to a page for all our Synod here in North America. Lots of links here, and lots of info about us in the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America. Oh, yeah. Lots of neato keeno swell free downloads. You'll find we've linked to them at several spots here at our site!
Our denomination sponsors Geneva College, a four year liberal arts college in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, and Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary, our graduate school for training ministers, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You can look at some of our mission work by going to the pages of our Home Mission Board and our Foreign Mission Board.
It's pretty trite to say that the next generation is our future, but it's true anyway. Many people are now homeschooling their kids to help shape that future in a godly way. Check out the Homeschool World for lots of good and helpful spots. Another essential homeschool site is the Home School Legal Defense Association. If you homeschool, or think you might be interested, this is one group you will want to know more about. Our denomination now has a youth page.
One of the main tasks that the Lord Jesus Christ has given our part of His Church is to proclaim that He is now King of Kings. Nations may not be neutral or antagonistic toward Him. They must give up their rebellion against their rightful Ruler, and contract or "covenant" with Him to serve Him in their national capacities. An organization that has been working toward that end since 1863 is the National Reform Association.
Read any good books lately? We know, it's a corny question. A good place to find lots of good stuff at great discounts (Hey, we're Scots-Irish. We get excited about this.) is at Still Waters Revival Books. They even have tons of free books and newsletters. Another good place is Cumberland Valley Bible Book Service. Again, big discounts and many good books. You can download a lot of good stuff for free at the Covenanted Reformed Presbyterian Church site. Still another site that's pretty new but full of FREE good stuff is True Covenanter.
We like a lot of what we see coming from the Blue Banner from the First Presbyterian Church of Rowlett, Texas, in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. They have a lot of worthwhile documents at the site that you can download. They also have a cassette tape and publications catalog. You'll like what you see there!
Check out the page for the Christian Observer magazine. It's a wonderful place to catch up on the latest news for the Presbyterian and Reformed world, as well as getting some great lesson plans for your class next Lord's Day morning! In fact, their magazine is full of useful stuff, rather like their website. The magazine is one of the oldest in North America still being published.
An interesting place is Tom Albrecht's Applied Presuppositionalism page. Don't let that Biiig, Looong, Name scare you! Again, lots of links, good meaty stuff, and some laughs, too.
An interesting site is Gospel Plow. It has to do with Christian people preparing to defend themselves should there ever be persecution. Our Covenanter ancestors defended themselves against the murderous tyranny of Charles II and James VII in Scotland in the seventeenth century. We still think them right to have done so. Over 18,000 Reformed Presbyterians were killed, banished, enslaved, and/or rendered homeless by these wicked kings and their troops. Many more would have if the Covenanters had not defended themselves, and the RP Church of today would not exist.
More controversy. Interested in a site that advertises like this: "Exclusive FREE REPORT: Is the U.S. Constitution a Christian document? Introduces book unlocking founding fathers' HIDDEN SECRETS of the Constitution." ? Check out I Smell a Rat!
Lots of these places have further good links. You can go on for a long time. Hey, remember to come back here!
